Home Sweet Home!

Yea! We have a house! We offically closed on Thursday, and took possession this morning. We went to the house to check it out and then before I knew it Bevin and his dad had ripped all of the carpet out. So we are off to a good start. I will be there early tomorrow morning to start cleaning, preping and painting. There is so much we want to do. We hope to be in by Labor Day, and are so excited to finally have our own place to call home! (pictures to come later)

Memory Game

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Olympics!

Since I haven't done a post recently I thought I could do a quick one about the Olympics! I am OBSESSED! I have been watching ever since the Opening Ceremonies! I told Bevin that I probably won't have a very productive week cause I love watching the events. My favorite is swimming, and Michael Phelps!(Who, bytheway, just won his second gold, yea!) I get so nervous for them because it is always so close. But, I love watching all the events and hope the US continues to have great success!

Park City - 5 yr. Anniversary

Having a Ball

Carter's first word was ball and he loves them.  He even thinks a watermelon is a ball.  He loves throwing the ball to the dogs, to mom and dad, in the pool, and loves hitting them with his golf clubs.(pics of those to come later)

I love this pose of him looking over his shoulder, watch out Hollywood.

Mouth pursed ready to say "Ball"

Take a Hike!

Just a quick hike that we did up Dry Canyon.  It was Carter's first time in his new backback carrier and he loved it.  I don't know if Bevin did, but it was a great day and a fun little family outing. (Even Cooper got to come)

I Tried!

So I was feeling bad that I haven't posted for almost 2 months.  I have just been so obsessed with finding a house.  But since that isn't going to well I thought I would post something.  So I downloaded all my pictures and only got 2 up and then it said there was an error and it wouldn't work.  So now I am frustrated and will just have to try again another day.  But just so you know, we are alive and things are good.

Just Random

Instead of playing with all of his toys, Carter enjoys looking at his books.  He loves to look at them and will bring them to us and sit on our lap so we can read to him.  I hope he continues to enjoy books and reading and he grows up.
Then just a cute picture of him in his Jazz jersey.  We did not miss a single Jazz playoff game and were excited for the Jazz to do as well as they did.  Maybe the finals next year.

Baby Animal Days

Even though Carter is still young we thought it would be fun to take him to see all the baby animals since he loves dogs so much.  It was fun to see all the animals and see that Carter wasn't afraid to pet them.

This is a bunny that is about as big as Carter!

Carter wasn't old enough to do the pony rides but he loved petting them and tried to pull their manes.

Walking

Carter is officially walking.  He has been able to stand and take a few steps for a while now.  And about a month ago he started walking all over the place.  He can catch himself when he starts to wobble and can go pretty fast.  He can also push himself up when he falls instead of grabbing on to something for help.  So he got some new shoes and was trying to get used to walking in them.  He is just too little to be walking!!!!

Haircut

Before..........
.............After!
I finally cut Carter's hair and I think it looks so much better!  It was so long on the top and the back was starting to curl around his ears.  Bevin thought he looked funny for a while, but now I can spike it and do fun stuff.  What a handsome guy!!!!

Easter Bunny!

The monday after Easter Bevin was able to go to Ellis Elementary and help out his brother who teaches there.  He dressed up as the Easter bunny and ran around outside chasing the kids as they played games and tried to collect eggs.  I took Carter down to see him and he wasn't even a tad bit afraid of him.  I don't know if he could tell it was his dad, but he wouldn't let go of him when we were ready to leave.

Easter

Easter was a busy but fun day.  It was also my mother-in-laws birthday so after church we had a nice lunch to celebrate.

Then we headed to Ogden to have dinner and the egg hunt at my grandparents.

Carter loved playing with the plastic eggs and shaking them to make noise because they were filled with money.

Carter got lots of toys from the Easter bunny.  He loved the bubbles, nursery rhyme book, monkey, piano and ball.
