Little Helper

So on Saturday morning we wanted to sleep in and Carter did not. So we were just laying in bed with Carter jumping all over us. Then he ran out and a minute later we hear what sounds like silverware banging together. He used to play with it a lot and take it and hide it places. So Bevin went to the kitchen and saw Carter putting silverware in to the drawer. Then he sees the dishwasher open and no silverware in it. He asks if I put it away, I ask if he put it away, we both say NO! Carter watched me put the silverware away and thought he wanted to do it too. It was not in the right spot but it was in the right drawer. He was so proud of himself. What a good little helper.

Sara Needs....

I saw this on facebook and since I don't have anything else to post I thought this would be fun!

4. Sara needs something more then the well-established love of her companion. Not true. At the moment this is all I want and need. I miss my hubby!

5. Sara needs YOU! When my hubby is gone I do need all of my friends and family. Thanks, love you all!

6. Sara needs replies. This would be great. I love having comments to read!

7. Sara needs time. Time for what? I would love more time with my hubby on the weekends. It always goes by way too fast!

8. Sara needs to drop a few lbs. So true! If this is not a sign then I don't know what is. Sad:( Even the computer is telling me I need to. Great.

9. Sara needs paint. This would have applied yesterday. I just bought some and finished a table we got at the DI. It turned out great. I also painted my mailbox and some frames.

10. Sara need to get her life back and establish herself as the person in charge. This pretty much sums it all up.

Valentine Cookies

We made some yummy sugar cookies and Carter decorated his very own. He had a hard time eating it though cause every time he went to pick it up he got frosting on his finger and had to lick it off. Eventually he gave in to the mess and enjoyed the cookie!

What a big boy!

Bevin has wanted to go to a USU game for the past couple weeks, and this weekend we finally went! I think that Bevin was even more excited to take Carter to the game. I was not as excited. I didn't think Carter would do well or last very long. But I was very wrong. Carter loved every minute of the game. He was in a daze at first just watching everything. Then he got excited when he saw the ball and caught on quickly to the clapping and yelling. He was such a good kid! I love both my boys and had a fun weeknd with them!

He just started doing this wierd gallop or skipping like thing. He has so much energy!

In the Doghouse!

I cannot believe what just happened. I was just standing in the playroom hitting the ping pong balls with Carter. Then suddenly I felt something warm on my leg. And it was not coming from me. I looked down and saw that the bottom leg of my jean was all wet! EEEWWW! Cooper looked at me and knew he was in trouble. I really cannot believe that just happened. Cooper is a pretty good dog and never has that problem. I guees my leg looked like a good spot. I let him out plenty today, though Bevin claims I neglect him. Whatever made him decide to do that, it was gross and it better not happen again.

Neat Freak

Just a funny thing that I have noticed about Carter lately. He is already a neat freak and he is not even 2 years old yet. He always says oh-oh, if someting falls over, sticks to his hands, is a mess, etc... So yesterday he walked past a drawer in my room and some clothes were hanging out a little. He stopped, opened the drawer, pushed the clothes inside and then shut the drawer. I just watched in amazement and laughed. Then today he got a few wipes out and started cleaning everything off. Bevin says he gets it from me. My moms said I hated to be dirty and would not crawl on the floor if there were crumbs! But Bevin is a bit of a neat freak too! Sorry Carter, guess you didn't have a chance. It's not that bad of a habit to have.

A New Week!

I am so glad that last week is over and I can start fresh this week! It was just one of those weeks that started out bad, and I just couldn't change it. One thing that happened was a minor flooding of the bathroom. We just thought something was up with the toilet. But when I found water all of the floor of the bathroom and the edge of the carpet wet, I called my father-in-law (Thanks for your help). After he looked at it , and could not fix it, I called Roto Rooter and the next morning they came and had to unclog my main water pipe. Fun stuff! So I am convinced that this is going to be a better week!

A friend of mine that lives by my parents took some pictures of Carter at Halloween and I asked her if she would do his Christmas ones. She did such a great job and it was so much better than taking him to the mall! Thanks Andee!

Not Blue or Red........but Green!

So after much consideration we decided on green for the salon. Thanks for all the ideas and input from everyone! I really like how it turned out. It feels like a very calming color. And thanks to my awesome hubby for doing all the work. He is an expert painter so I only helped with the 2 smallest walls and let him do the rest. Thanks babe, love ya! I am super excited to finish everything up. Next on the list is installing the sink, then the floor, and baseboard. All pretty major things! Then the rest is easy, just a mirror, chair, product, and decor! Yeah!

I DID IT !!!

So it has been 1 week and I did not spend a penny! Ya I just need to brag for a minute, sorry! That is something that is not easy to do. You don't realize how much money you really spend on all those little odds and ends. There were things that came up like my car running out of washer fluid and I could barely see out the window. Luckily my sweet mom came to visit and bought some for her car and gave me half. Carter had a runny nose and of course we ran out of kleenex and tp is so rough. Luckily a great friend donated a box of kleenex. Gosh I sound so pathetic! I know this doesn't really mean much but I think it has helped me to look and everything I spend money on and ask myself , "Do I really need this?" So I might try to go another week! If you watch Oprah, Suze Orman was on talking about $ and she is awesome. It has given me even more inspiration. Okay well enough of my rambling.

Money, Money, Money

I am not going to spend any money at all for this entire week.

(Bevin says I need to do this for a month) No stopping at the gas station for a diet coke, no quick trip to Wal-Mart and ending up spending $100, no more daily trips to Michaels for my crafting supplies, etc.......So a lot of things have brought this little experiment about. It was Christmas time and of course we spent way too much money and one of New Year's Resolutions is to save more money. So here I go. One day down, six more to go!

New Year's Eve

We had a fun night with our friends. Chris, Leah and Kate were here from Nebraska and it was nice to see them. Thanks for coming to see us! We ate tons of food, played lots of ping pong, learned a new game called wackee 6, and stayed up untill almost 3am. It was one of the funnest New Year's Eve we've had in a while.
