Park City - 5 yr. Anniversary

Having a Ball

Carter's first word was ball and he loves them.  He even thinks a watermelon is a ball.  He loves throwing the ball to the dogs, to mom and dad, in the pool, and loves hitting them with his golf clubs.(pics of those to come later)

I love this pose of him looking over his shoulder, watch out Hollywood.

Mouth pursed ready to say "Ball"

Take a Hike!

Just a quick hike that we did up Dry Canyon.  It was Carter's first time in his new backback carrier and he loved it.  I don't know if Bevin did, but it was a great day and a fun little family outing. (Even Cooper got to come)

I Tried!

So I was feeling bad that I haven't posted for almost 2 months.  I have just been so obsessed with finding a house.  But since that isn't going to well I thought I would post something.  So I downloaded all my pictures and only got 2 up and then it said there was an error and it wouldn't work.  So now I am frustrated and will just have to try again another day.  But just so you know, we are alive and things are good.

Just Random

Instead of playing with all of his toys, Carter enjoys looking at his books.  He loves to look at them and will bring them to us and sit on our lap so we can read to him.  I hope he continues to enjoy books and reading and he grows up.
Then just a cute picture of him in his Jazz jersey.  We did not miss a single Jazz playoff game and were excited for the Jazz to do as well as they did.  Maybe the finals next year.

Baby Animal Days

Even though Carter is still young we thought it would be fun to take him to see all the baby animals since he loves dogs so much.  It was fun to see all the animals and see that Carter wasn't afraid to pet them.

This is a bunny that is about as big as Carter!

Carter wasn't old enough to do the pony rides but he loved petting them and tried to pull their manes.

Walking

Carter is officially walking.  He has been able to stand and take a few steps for a while now.  And about a month ago he started walking all over the place.  He can catch himself when he starts to wobble and can go pretty fast.  He can also push himself up when he falls instead of grabbing on to something for help.  So he got some new shoes and was trying to get used to walking in them.  He is just too little to be walking!!!!

Haircut

Before..........
.............After!
I finally cut Carter's hair and I think it looks so much better!  It was so long on the top and the back was starting to curl around his ears.  Bevin thought he looked funny for a while, but now I can spike it and do fun stuff.  What a handsome guy!!!!

Easter Bunny!

The monday after Easter Bevin was able to go to Ellis Elementary and help out his brother who teaches there.  He dressed up as the Easter bunny and ran around outside chasing the kids as they played games and tried to collect eggs.  I took Carter down to see him and he wasn't even a tad bit afraid of him.  I don't know if he could tell it was his dad, but he wouldn't let go of him when we were ready to leave.

Easter

Easter was a busy but fun day.  It was also my mother-in-laws birthday so after church we had a nice lunch to celebrate.

Then we headed to Ogden to have dinner and the egg hunt at my grandparents.

Carter loved playing with the plastic eggs and shaking them to make noise because they were filled with money.

Carter got lots of toys from the Easter bunny.  He loved the bubbles, nursery rhyme book, monkey, piano and ball.

Blog Slacker!!!

So I just haven't been in the mood lately to post any new events.  Then when I decided to, I had to download my pics from my camera and there were about 350.  So that took forever and stopped me again from posting.  So I am finally playing catch up.  I hate when I check someone's blog and there are never any new posts.  Now I am that person!!  Sorry!

March Madness!!!

Amy came down from Boise over Easter weekend to visit and of course Bevin was watching basketball.  When Boise came on Amy insisted we put Carter in his Boise State attire and get a picture of him in front of them game.  It looks like he is cheering with his hands up in the air.

Carter's Easter Pictures

We took Carter to Kiddie Kandid to get some pictures in his cute Easter outfit.  He did a great job and was not fussy at all.  But he did keep putting his fingers in his mouth.  But I love that picture anyway because that is just him.  He also kept trying to walk off the platform with the ladder, he did not want to stand still.  But I think they pictures turned out great!!!

Mommy Tag!

Okay so I know there have been a lot of tags lately, but this one is about being a mom so I had to do it. I tag Sallie, Jill, Amanda, Leah
1. Typically what time do you wake up?
Lately Carter has been sleeping a ton and doesn't wake up until 9 0r 10 am, so that is when I wake up! Awful I know!

2. On a good night what time are your kids in bed? Usually 9 or 10 pm, which is why he wakes up so late. We are trying to get him to bed earlier.

3. How long have you been a mommy? 10 months

4. How old were you when you became a mommy? 25

5. What is your favorite kids tv show? Carter is not old enough to watch kids shows yet.

6. What is your least favorite tv show? Again, I don't watch kids shows yet.

7. What is your favorite chore? I don't really like to clean, but I love to organize.

8. What is your favorite meal to cook?
Turkey Steaks and Broccoli, because it's easy. And chicken Enchiladas with rice

9. What is your kids favorite meal? Milk

10. What is your favorite thing your husband does with your kids?
He always walks around holding him. When he was a few months old it put him to sleep, and now it justs calms him down and makes him content to be in daddy's arms.

11. When was the last time you went out without your kids?
Saturday night we went to a movie with friends. The movie was Horton Hears a Who, and they took their kids. Does that count? We didn't have Carter!

12. When was the last time you told one of your kids 'I love you'? Tonight when I put him to bed.
